KARACHI: City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil has urged for prompt measures to curb training camps besides the Seraiki Belt in Southern Punjab. It is imperative that special measures should be initiated for the people living on the Seraiki Belt such as measures for the elimination of poverty and being deprived of necessary means for the livelihood and opportunities for education and employment. Jalil further added that she was pleased to know that the Prime Minister was already focusing on the issues of people of the Seraiki Belt. Jalil exchanged these views while talking to Prime Minister’s political advisor Khwaja S Muhammad Amir Koreja at City Naib Nazim’s secretariat on Wednesday. Koreja had called on Jalil alongwith Tehreek-e Minhaj-ul Quran Sindh chapter Chief Al-Haaj Dr Khwaja Muhammad Ashraf.
Koreja on the occasion said that sovereignty of the country would not be compromised while the war against terrorist would continue.
Koreja lauded Muttahidda Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussein for his brave stance for the sanctity and protection of shrines and against the extremists.
Koreja also lauded the City District Government Karachi for development works in the city.
Jalil said that peace and tranquility in city was ensured only after the religious scholars belonging to all school of thoughts had welcomed MQM Chief Altaf Hussein because he has been striving for protecting the city from the claws of the Talibanisation.Jalil added that the Haq Parast representatives have been participating in all types of social and religious ceremonies and gatherings, which helped promote peace among different sects and communities.
