KARACHI: In order to promote peace and tranquility across the globe, people across the world should understand that atrocities, torture and killing humans has never been part of Pakistani society not any other nation in the world had that nuisance as integral part of their culture. People of the world especially Pakistan should strive for the promotion of peace and they should play their pivotal role for the prevention of bloodshed. Renowned human rights activist and Patron-in-Chief of Chhipa Welfare Trust, Ramzan Chhipa stated this while talking to a 7-member delegation of a local non-governmental organisation that called on him at Chhipa Head Office on Monday on the occasion of World Tolerance day. Jalil Memon led the delegation while a team comprising Sajjd Haider, Humas Akhtar, ShahidZaman, Sharifuddin, Imran Ali and Noor Muhammad accompanied him.
Earlier, Ramzan spent a busy day on the streets of the city and distributed pamphlets and handbills that carried write-ups for the promotion of cordial relations among different classes of people.
On the occasion, Ramzan appealed to the people that they should end up petty quarrels that always led to bloodshed.
Ramzan further appealed to the people that they should adopt a “forget the woes and forgive their fellow countrymen” policy so that they could emerge as strong nation.
Ramzan said that the people of the West have adopted a simple attitude through certain words and phrases such as ‘Excuse me’, ‘Pardon me’, ‘Sorry’, etc, that readily pacifies the hurt feelings of the opposite and through these tiny words of apology, the people of the West have succeeded in creating a culture of live and let live.
We as Pakistani should also pave ways of forgiveness so that the negative trends of ending one's life over a trifle should be eliminated and to boost the peace and tranquility. By doing this, we would be paving ways to build a stronger Pakistan, said Ramzan.
Ramzan appealed to the people that on the occasion of ‘World Tolerance Day’, they should vow not to continue with actions that could create turmoil in the lives of other people and that the society should not be pushed into a state of panic.
