MQM wants LG elections, says MNA Waseem Akhtar

KARACHI: Sindh Health Minister Dr Saghir Ahmed alongwith member national assembly Waseem Akhtar has inaugurated first computerized monitoring camp at M A Jinnah Road.

The Jamshed town Municipal Administration has established the computerized monitoring camp in order to ensure effective control of Muharram processions on M A Jinnah road amid escalating threats of terrorism.

In his address, Sindh Health Minister Dr Saghir Ahmed said that establishment of the computerized monitoring camp was a step ahead for securing the entire sensitive area during Muharram days.

The minister lauded nazim Jamshed town Javed Ahmed for executing the concrete measures for the protection of the citizens especially the mourners.

On the occasion, MNA Waseem Akhtar said that establishment of the computerized monitoring camp was a major step toward maintaining law and order in the area.

On the issue of Local Government System’s fate, Akhtar said that the government has been conveyed of necessary suggestions regarding local government and that Muttahidda Qaumi movement wanted local bodies elections so as to ensure continuation of the LG System.
