KARACHI: The Karachi water and sewerage Board (KWSB) has finalized special arrangements for uninterrupted water supply to citizens during Eid Ul Adha. This was decided during a high level meeting while KWSB additional vice chairman Muhammad Moin Khan was in the chair. KWSB Managing Director Qutbuddin Sheikh, Chief Engineer Bulk Najmi Alam, KWSB zonal Chief Engineers, KWSB Chief Engineer Electrical and Maintenance, KWSB Executive Engineers and Superintending Engineers attended.
The meeting asked the KWSB Chief Engineer Electrical and Maintenance to ensure working condition of pumping machines at all pumping stations in city while availability and quick installation of stand-by electric generators should also be ensured so as to diligently deal with any untoward water and sewage problems.
The meeting directed the KWSB zonal Chief Engineers to declare all Masjid, Imam Bargahs and Eidgahs as foal point and should ensure extreme cleanliness around these. As well, special complaint cells should be established at different locations so that the citizens should continue getting uninterrupted water supply.
