Brig. Tirmizi for on time completion of development and infrastructure in process in DHA phase-VIII

KARACHI: DHA Administrator Brig. Khalid Tirmizi has inspected the ongoing process of laying infrastructure in DHA Phase-VIII, which measures 4,150-acres of land. It is almost half the size of total DHA and has remained under-developed for the last three decades.
While talking to officers and engineers on the site, Brig. Tirmizi emphasized the departments concerned for maintaining the pace of work and quality of infrastructure alongwith complete manifest of standard engineering skills and craftsmanship.
Brig. Tirmizi directed the departments concerned to complete all procedural issues of the project were resolved forthwith because the date line for the completion of the development works would not be extended while on time completion of work would open new venues of progress in the area.
Earlier, Brig. Tirmizi also visited Zulfiqar Commercial Centre and Al Murtaza Commercial Centre areas in Sector B of Phase-VIII to oversee the ongoing installation of water and sewerage infrastructure, construction of street and roads with raised asphalt surface. The DHA has already completed a big part of installation of major infrastructure and foundation laying work of Commercial Centre.
Brig. Tirmizi was of the view that with the improvement of commercial centre area, the people of the area would avail a new variety of civic facility.
Presently, the work on development and construction of streets, water distribution system, sewerage lines, electric distribution networks, construction of major roads including drainage works, main trunk line and water storage facilities in the area is in progress.
Brig. Tirmizi also inaugurated the newly constructed offices of DHA Phase-VIII Development Directorate on Khayaban-e Mujahid DHA Phase-V, which would act as centre to monitor the progress of ongoing infrastructure development.
