Liyari development Package: Liyari would be most developed town in city in four months, says TMO Raeesi

KARACHI: Town Municipal Officer Liyari Town Muhammad Raeesi has said that under the Liyari Development Package, Liyari would be brought to the status of most developed Town in the city, which would be good for the city in general and the country in particular.

He stated these views on the occasion of Honorarium that was offered in his honour by the All Sindh Peoples Paramedical Staff Association (ASPPMSA) at Liyari general hospital on Thursday.

Raeesi regretted that Liyari has been ignored in past while the water and sewerage infrastructure had ruined that caused the people of Liyari suffer for decades. However, the ongoing development works under the Liyari Development Package would change the shape and look of this area within four months.

He said that low literacy rate and destruction of education system has snatched opportunities from the people of Liyari to take their due share for their personal livelihood and service to the country. These two major ignored sites have now been taken on special notice and shortly; the youth of the Liyari would be transformed into hard-studying one.

He said that illegal encroachments have been a main menace of Liyari. These illegal occupations would be removed and those removed thus would be rehabilitated appropriately after receipt of necessary directives form the Sindh government.

He said that after improvement and extension of the Liyari general Hospital, residents of Liyari would be employed to work here so that the despondency in the lines of people of Liyari should be reduced.

He said that Sardar Nabeel Ahmed Gabol has been paying extra attention on Liyari's development while President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has been very generous for issuing the required funds for the development of Liyari.

ASPPMSA Karachi division President Uzair Baloch said that Liyari General Hospital was a blessing for the people of Liyari but was destroyed in past. The renovation and upgradation of it would open new venues of health and employment for the people of Liyari.

He demanded that jobs should be given to children of those employees of Liyari general Hospital who had died.
