CDGK established 350 parks in city, says city Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal

KARACHI: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has so far established 350 parks in the city while Shuhada-e-Haq Model Family Park in union council No 8 in North Nazimabad Town has constructed this 4-acre park with a cost of Rs 20 million.

These 350 small and big parks and number of sports grounds would help improve the environment while various types of pollution and the citizens have got better and quality recreation facilities near to their homes.

He expressed these views on the occasion of inauguration of Shuhada-e-Haq Model Family Park in union council No 8 in North Nazimabad Town on Wednesday.

Hameed, member provincial Assembly Abdul Moeed Siddiqui, District Coordination Officer Karachi Muhammad Javed Hanif Khan, North Nazimabad Town Nazim Mumtaz Hameed and Director Parks and Horticulture Department Liaquat Ali Khan were also present.

He said that development was an ongoing process and it never ends at any point. Adding that the present development process in city must continue or the whole nation would have to bear the brunt of its stoppage.

Despite thousands of projects completed during last four years, not all the problems of citizens have been resolved and still a lot of work has to be done.

While developing the city, we never considered affiliation of locals to any particular group or party and besides main city areas, katchi abadies, rural areas and islands were also given equal importance in the journey of development.

He also cited the upgradation of Leprosy Hospital in Manghopir to a modern general hospital with state of the art facilities.
